I like to focus on a number of different creative projects and mediums. I have always love to create even if the end project isn't something grand. My skills are not groundbreaking either, but these projects have brought me joy and it makes me feel some kind of accomplishment. "Hey, look what I made!".

I have met and made life-long friends through cosplay. I was regularly making costumes for years, but it hit me during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, that I am no longer in love with cosplay.

I have accepted that I am no longer attach to it the same way I had in my late teens to 20s and I keep believing I would feel different, but I haven't for a few years now. Coming to terms with that was difficult because cosplay was largely a part of my idenity and the community I was most active in for a long period of my life. Some times, it feels great, but some days not so much.

    Yuna from Final Fantasy X.

The fabrics are mostly kona cotton with the top being remade from a leftover knit fabric. I hand painted the details on the skirt and obi. It was my first time gradient-dying fabric for the sleeves. The staff weapon prop is made of EVA foam and wooden dowels. The skirt is box-pleated and the fabric color choice was carefully done so that the skirt can be captured as blue or purple in different lightings, something I feel like occured with Yuna's outfit in the games! Y'Shtola from Final Fantasy XIV.

I believe this was my last "serious" costume project made in 2021. I made the costume in two parts (top and skirt) for ease of wear. I had a lot of fun with the accessories! The serpent on the choker necklace was made from oven bake clay and the gems made from UV resin. The feather earrings were attempt number two, where I decided to make them using crafting foam. The Black Mage weapon prop was made heating and twisting a PVC pipe then covered and detailed with newspaper and hotglue. Photos taken by my partner KV and edited by me.

Malon from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Malon's outfit is one of the most comfortable outfits I have sewn! I used linen fabrics for both the top and skirt. I used a circle-skirt cut and shape for extra flowy movement to it. It also just drapes the skirt so nicely too! I sew thin stripes of purple cotton fabric to make the designs on the skirt. I reused an old large t-shirt to draft and pattern for the top. The designs on the top are handpainted. The Bowser brooch was sculpted with air-dry clay and then painted over. Unfortuntaly, I am not so good at styling wigs, so I couldn't do Malon's curtain bangs justice. Photos taken by my sister and edited by me.

Aerith from Final Fantasy VII Remake.

I found an eBay listing of vintage curtain fabric with delicate flourish details, so while the fabric choice for this costume is a bit unconventional, it seems fitting for Aerith to reuse found fabric to make a cute dress out of! I used the same fabric to make the hair bow. I did not want to stress myself sewing a jacket and found one online. The dress has a hidden zipper in the front for ease of wear. I had a lot of fun recreating Aerth's flower basket! I arranged the lilies and tulips as close as possible to her's and they are secured with green foam hidden inside the basket. The root of my photography interest started with my dad who often captured memories of the family with his film camera and video camcorder. With each passing year, I am thankful for the memories he captured of us, because we can look back and laugh about ourselves.

One of the first things I bought when I started working, was a point-and-shoot camera around 2006. Eventually when I started branching into cosplay, I decided I wanted higher quality photos and purchased my first DSLR camera, a Canon Rebel T3. I used this camera for the longest time and eventually handed this camera down to one of my nephew. I slightly upgraded to a Canon Rebel T7i that I use today.

I focus on conceptual portraiture and flowers. I haven't done much photography lately, but still really proud of these!

    resin craft

During the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic lockdown, my place of employment at the time had a back-to-back double merger and my department was let go. During that time, I opened an online shop selling resin crafts, specially Final Fantasy XIV related. My online shop kept me afloat for some time, but I have since been on hiatus due to my current day job.
